First, let me apologize for tonight's incorrigible photo blast. I know I haven't been updating for a while - the truth is I've taken a mini hiatus... but now that I've been invited to join the first round of apprentices at the Arcanum, I've become more prolific than ever; reaching outside of my comfort zone and taking risks to refine my technique. 1. PUT YOUR LENS HOOD ON BACKWARDS for storage, and slide your lenses into your bag/case body-cap-side-down unless you want your zoom lens to telescope out on you as you're trying to pull it out. Annoying... 2. KEEP YOUR QUICK RELEASE MOUNT EITHER ON YOUR CAMERA OR ON YOUR TRIPOD AS A RULE because you don't want to drive for five hours to find out you've arrived with a camera and a tripod and no way to join them together - unless you're looking for an excuse to buy a new tripod.
